Lake Adventures - Edmonton Family Photographer
A few weeks ago we ventured out to one of our favourite Alberta lakes for an adventure with the kiddos. It was a gorgeous, not too cold, winter day. We really couldn't have asked for better weather. The kids were excited to see the lake was frozen over and we could all walk on it. With sights of local ice fishers, snowshoers off in the distance, and a gorgeous winter sky, we ventured for a walk around the lake. Of course, we finished off the afternoon trek with a stop at the kids' favourite little playground.
Here are some of my favourites from the afternoon:
It's always been important to me that we take the kids outside a lot, even in the winter. I want them to see the world around them and all that there is to explore. I hope their sense of adventure never fades. Now that spring is just around the corner, I'm looking forward to another new season with them.
I'd love to know what kind of winter and spring adventures you go on with your family. Let me know in the comments below!
If you'd like me to photograph your family in a lifestyle adventure session such as this, let's chat and set it up today! These sessions are so fun and relaxed and the perfect way to get some great photos with kiddos.
Halloween 2017 - Edmonton Family Photographer
Come along on our pirate Halloween adventure.
Halloween is my favourite time of year. There's just something about the fall season leading up to it; the spookiness, the costumes, the trick-or-treating, the scary movies (and season 2 of Stranger Things!) - it's all so much fun.
Again this year, I took the kiddos out for an adventure in their costumes. They both chose to be pirates when they saw the costumes hanging in the store. To be honest, I think it was mostly because they came with swords, but they had a ton of fun and totally embraced the characters - sword fighting and all.
Since there aren't any pirate ships or ocean water around our neck of the woods, we just ventured out to one of our favourite exploration spots. The kids still had a blast running around screaming "Arrrrrrr" and I had fun following them around with my camera. If you make it until the end you'll see one of my favourites of Townes. He wasn't too happy we when we had to leave - you'll know it when you see it. haha.
Here are all of my favourites from the afternoon.
Thanks for making it until the end! I'd love to know what you and/or your kiddos dressed up as for Halloween this year! Let me know in the comments below. <3
